    Hi guys

I have this rock with awesome icecap type zoas on it. Problem is there were some palythoas on also and they seem to be taking over the rock. So i need to find a way to kill or remove them paly's

Dont laugh but ive tried aiptasia X and it didnt work, those would be the semi-closed ones lol. So my next option is using a stanley blade to slice them off. Would i need to treat the rock afterwords like an iodine dip perhaps or wouldnt it be needed?

Palythoas the baine of all zoa rocks! Ya I would use a knife and try and scrape them off at the base, probably wont get it all and it may grow back over time, but worth a try.

I have lost quite a few insane zoas to paly's choking them over the years. :(

Those zappers really suck and they mess with your water chemistry.

I agree they are the bane of all zoas. They look cool on their own rock though but they tend to overpower other zoas when they occupy the same rock
