    Hi guys

My tank is doing relatively well done my parameter tests yesterday and this is how it is

    Nitrite 0
    Ammonia 0.1
    Nitrate at about 8
    Calcium 435
    Ph 8.1
    Alk at about 8
Then my magnesium is 1170 (salifert test kits)

And I'm dosing seachem magnesium everyday and it's been that level for 2 months now and I don't have a lot of corals or fish at moment,

Im doing regular water changes etc so I'm confused

How much do you dose (ppm) per day?

To the best of my knowledge...you dose...test...dose again...test again...until you reach the level you want...same day..When my Tank cycled I needed to add about 3times the amount in one go until I got the result I wanted...I'm also using Seachem...

This is not a good idea. Rather bring it up slowly over a few days. Up your daily dosage slightly and monitor it.

Those are "guidelines" to help when working out how much you need for you'r Tank size...you adjust accordingly if it's to low or to high...:)

I see brightwell has a product neomag,it's a product to be used in a reactor

I've got a extra small buble magus reactor with a flow rate of 400litres per hour, can I use it in the reactor to get magnesium up?or should it be used in conjunction with a calcium reactor

you shouldnt need a reactor to lift your magnesium and if you send it to high you run the risk of calcium dropping out the water collum. Calcium: magnesium ratios are very important to living organisms.

rather go slowly with manual dosing every week that try something radical and cause damage.
