Hi friends,

Have some softies that I want to put under the knife, not sure on the exact types, how does one go ahead with this?

I know I need to remove them from the tank into a bucket or something, but do I just slice off one of the "branching" pieces?

got some nylon to tie them to the piece of tile?

Please help before I kill everything:(

thx

That first and third pic looks like a finger leather, not sure how to do those. I'd say cut a piece at the base of a branch, use thread or rubber band and attach to a piece of shell and bury in your substrate, it should attach very quickly. Second pic is Kenya or Collt Coral, very easy. I've had much luck just cutting those at the base of a branch with a very sharp blade and placing in substrate. You can also attach it with thread or rubberband to a branch of rock and it will take off. Do not use superglue gel on any softie. Nasty burn and you will lose the piece. GO FOR IT

Can I use grout ( for tiles ) mixed with coral sand to make plugs? tried the super glue and sand story, just doesn't work, only leaves me with grout?
