How to fix a tank backround ?

    Hi All,

    The back of my tank in not looking so great anymore. A year ago I “glued” a blue background to the back of my tank with silicone it now looks s..t….

    Firstly how do I get the silicone off ?

    Secondly could I paint the back once the silicone is off ?

    The real challenge is I need to do this with the tank running !!

    A very simple suggestion Martin - I used black "building" plastic sheeting.... used "prestik" on the outer most areas of the tank/rims.... You cannot see the prestik at all..... And the plastic sheeting looks awesome....

    Just a suggestion perhaps.... To remove the silicone - try to use glass cleaning blades (like carpet knife blades)......

    Great idea and that way I dont have to worry about paint fumes either.
