How does one disable key words in a post. For example i am talking about DOC Dissolved Organic Carbon and a window comes up Dissolved Organic Compounds. This gives the reader the incorrect confusing information and they probably think they are the same.

The whole world knows DOC's as Dissolved Organic Compounds, I have never heard of Dissolved Organic Carbon before :p

A simple solution would be to use abbreviation dots, like this - D.O.C. but then I and just about 95% of the other people on the forum would recognise that as Compounds. :)

Is there a way to stop this popups. By now I know what I DSB is, and after seeing the same popup for 100 times, even slow learners should get it.

or rather have the popup for beginners, with links in it to the relevant forum.

And how do you propose I tell the software to recognise that a person is a beginner?

Just stop rolling your mouse over it. It is there for the benefit of newcomers to the hobby.

Not sure i agree. While i understand what you mean by Dissolved organic compound all organic compounds are normally dissolved. These organic compounds are normally referred to as DOM dissolved organic mater or CDOM.

Ok the above is OT. If possible it would be nice to be able to disable in a post if meanings conflict. If not, like you say make a plan. ;)

Can't it registered the count it popped up in some cookie. And before all the wise cracks, it is not a chocolate chip cookie, swissroll or koeksuster. It remembers my password in a cookie.
