Ok this is a bit of a different one!
I was feeding my tank last night and guess what was chilling camo'd near a rock!!! a frikin octopus!!!!:nono: he is altogether the size of my palm including tentacles!!!
tried taking a pic but no luck!
I haven't put anything new in my tank in about a month and a half, but before that I put a large piece of LR in! also I have been collecting sea water at night with a torch to get plankton enriched bugs for my corals, goldies etc!!!
Ok so I've done a head count all fish and shrimps alive...
I've put in a 2L coke bottle trap (cut the neck of the coke bottle off inverted it with some seafood inside!)
This morning the only thing in the trap was a large bristle worm!!!
Gonna try again today and tonight!!!
This guy is a big time predator, what can I expect???
also someone told me they normally escape out the tank, but he must have been in all ready for over a month, probably eating small crabs that live in my sps????

    AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH:(

Use it for bait. Awesome bait for Stumpnose, otherwise slide the whole thing out.

Ok... Ok it's official you kids are all nuts!!!!!
This is honestly not a good thing all I want to do with him is deep fried with garlic lemon sauce!!!!!
He is a serious menace and honestly don't know what I'm gonna do!!!!
I reckon he will slowly start nabbing my fish and shrimps one at a time while they are snoozing!
    Some ideas?????:whistling:

P.S. apparently they normally get kept in a tank with a lid with a lock coz they are big time escape artists!!! do you reckon he is gonna go for a long hike off a short pane of glass????

P.P.S don't think he walked from the beach:lol: ... oh and rugby score... forgetaboutit!!! ... oh no wait what was that octo... 39-16 to the boks!!!:whistling:

The trap will not work because he will go out the same way that he came in the trap. All i can think of is,put nets all around his hiding place and try and chase him into the nets and remove him.

P.S. i dont know if they bite, and remember they have sharp beecks so becarefull!

Damn this is serious, he hasn't tried to get out yet because he has all the food he needs right now, he will eat your fish and shrimps. I would try feeding him for a couple of nights in the same place and trap him that way or strip the tank.

Yeah Dan was kinda thinking this but he aint dumb he has chosen the largest piece of Base rock (LR) to crawl under, that little bugger!
I'm gonna keep feeding in my trap for a couple of night's he will definately be able to climb out coz he's crafty... but maybe I can get him while he is still in there... frikkin waking up with a torch every now and then and checking!!!!
NICE! ... oh if I catch who wants him???? ... grilled or fried, doesn't matter:razz:
