    Hey guys,

My CBB has done a great job of eating all my aiptasia - taken him about 4months. There is now none left. He does however eat Mysis shrimp out of the water column. My question is how often, how much to feed him. He is medium sized. What I have noticed is that he only eats the bodies of the mysis, always spitting the heads out.

I really dont want to overfeed my tank - nutrients, but I also dont want to lose my CBB.

I feed my tank 6 blocks of frozen foods per day, my copperband eats Mysis, Enriched Brine Shrimp and Krill, My copperband also spits out bits of the food he doesn't want, he seems to suck off the juicy bits and then spits out the rest, he's a fat healthy fish and my favourite.

Feed yours in a similar fashion, 2 or 3 times a day and alternate between mysis, enriched brine shrimp and krill, he should be fine with that.

Wow Viper, that seems like a lot of food? how many other fish do you have. bear in mind I only have:

    1 yellow tank,
    2 chromis
    2 cardinals
    2 regals tanks (small)
    1 bicolor angel

    ?

    Cheers

    I have:

    1 copperband
    4 chromis
    1 regal tang
    1 foxface
    2 bi-colour blennies
    2 clowns

If you have sufficient nutrient export methods then you'll be fine.

    Awesome, thanks dude!

I run DSB and turf scrubber. What are you using for export. and what do you maintain N and P at?

My DSB is only about 8 months old now so I doubt its doing much nitrate reduction. But the scrubber works nicely.

    Cheers
    Jason

I'll be honest with you, I haven't tested Nitrate and Phosphate for probably 6 months now, I see no need to, my corals and fish are all healthy and growing, I have no algae issues, apart from a bit of cyano in a low flow area behind some rocks, but apart from that my tank is happy, as am I.

I have a DSB but I also doubt it is doing anything as it looks pretty clean and there is too much water over it and the flow is too high as I added a 6500 lph pump to my system so the flow through the sump is too fast in my opinion, but anyway, big skimmer that produces some good skimmate and chaetomorpha, also a lot of live rock and good waterflow in the tank really helps a lot.
