How much kalk

hi there crew.how much of kalk do you dose in your stirrer?
i have an Aqua medic stirrer,and add in a cup full of kalk in to it.my question,is there any advantage/disadvantage of the amount of kalk in the stirrer?lets talk

Nope, no advantage. When kalkwasser reaches full strength, pH of about 12.8, it cannot dissolve any more.The only benefit of adding more powder to your reactor would be increased time until you need to add more powder.
Just do not add powder to the point where your effluent is a milky colour, i.e containing undissolved calcium hydroxide, which is not a good thing to drip into your tank, unless you wanna build a cement block from your sandbed.
