how many powerheads do i need

    i have 1 1000 seio prop pump and i was wondering if i added another seio prop 1500 would it be enough flow its a 350l display,500l total and i also have a pump from my sump is that enough flow? and no i can get mp10,40,60 i dont have enough cash for those :blush:

    howzit Keegz. im sure if you put 1 on each side it should be oky. otherwize just add 2 extras make it 4 in strategic angles to make sure you got flow all over the tank. less detritus to worry about.:)

    You could look at the Sicce range also verry nice pumps and reasonable price,and you can also get a controller for it.

    I trust Sicce more than Seio about 15 years ago when I were doing freshwater fish with @the fish they sold Sicce pumps and man were they good they even made heaters that were just just not touching the quality of Jager but much more affordable.

    Isicce powerheads have only been crap for me and their heater adwell. had to take 3 heaters back.2 went cold and 1 burned up the whole tank killed most of it

    Your tank is a 4ft isn't it? What about one of those cheap sunsun pumps, they are only about R120 and push some really good wide flow, I have 3 of them. If they break they are so cheap to replace that you really don't mind.

    Do you have any soft or LPS corals in your tank? You ideally want them to be gently sort of waving in the flow, not too strong otherwise it can damage them.

    Not enough flow, add at least three more seio props or four sunsuns.
