i wouldnt add any more fish as your bio load is heavy already. what damsel have you got. Ill get rid of it. damsels are very agro fish and in a small nano like yours he will become very territorial and terrorise your other fish. it would also reduce your bio load and that way you can easier reduce your nutrients and po4. less nutrients and po4 means less algae regular water changes would also help with reducing nutrients.also makesure youve got good r/o water.

I agree with Charl's. Ideally that tank should have a maximum of three fishes (I am also running the 37l nano).
You can use this guide for future reference:

As for the GHA: Have you checked what level your phosphates are at? You should consider a phosphate remover if it is high. Turbo snails are nice but are like a bull in a china shop when they get big. You will also have a problem feeding them when the algae runs out.

Also remember to rinse out any frozen food (and thaw) with RO water. If you feed live food make sure you strain it...don't let that water get into your tank. That can also contribute to phosphate build up.

Wow, that is expensive. Paid R50 for mine. And then the day after I add it the algae turns brown and starts dying...:whistling: Murphey's Law.
Just stick with the phos remover though, the algae will eventually die off. Learn from my mistake
    How old is your tank?
