    OK, let's see.

Wire the live (red) to one of the two terminals on the ballast, and wire the other terminal to the left-most hole of the lamp holder. Wire the neutral (black) wire to the right-most hole of the lamp holder. Wire the two wires of the starter to the two holes closest to each other in the center of the lamp holder. Just to clarify a bit more... each pair of holes are linked, and you need to connect the live (from the ballast) and the neutral to the outer two pairs of holes, and the two wires from the starter to the inner two pairs.

Hope this helps, but don't blame me if you blow up your house :whistling:

Actually, from your photo, there are 8 "points" on the lamp holder (what you call the connector) - I did address your question, though:

There are thus 4 sets of two holes each - it does not matter which of the two holes of each "set" is used (and yes, you leave the other hole of each set open...). Also, it does not matter whether you connect the "live" to the left or right outside pair of holes, but it is important to connect the neutral to the other outside pair of holes.

    Nice sketch there, Leigh

Guys, Isn't there supposed to be a cap?

The Diagram on the ballast shows a Cap. I know you do not need one for it to work but is there some sort of regulation. What is the reason for the Cap?

Yes, a properly sized and rated suppression capacitor should actually be connected between the live and neutral, just before the ballast. this will help to suppress radio interference, but is not strictly necessary to make the light work.
