I've just bought some awesome live rock and I will hence probably need to remove a piece or two from my current setup.

There's one piece i'm interested in removing but it has a red mushroom and a green hairy mushroom on it. Is there any easy way to remove said tenants without damaging them? ;)

    Many thanks

The only way to totally avoid damage is let the mushrooms move off, you could try putting the rock in the shade so the move.
You can try to cut them off but that can cause damage to the foot.

what i do is, take a nife with sharp point, then i remove its foot (base) from the rock.

almost like picking anemones off rocks, just smaller, and with a knife.

i do this everytime when my shrooms get too much(haven't lost one)

first time a placed a rock near it(like wee-man said), but it took almost 2 monts for one to get on.

the way i remove it is,take a screw driver and place 0.5cm away from the base of the shroom and then tap it,till the shroom comes of with the piece of LR attached

I would cut it off then cut it into four then strap it onto a rock and then you'll have four.
