SO I had a client of mine make this perspex hood for me.
I took apart my Odyssea t5 unit and retrofitted it into the hood lid.
Also added a few fans into the hood and have connected them up to my stc controller.

I had him cut out areas in the back to allow for the entry of my return plumbing as well as all electrics.

The 60mm square cuts in the front are for 2 of the 4 fans and I found black plastic vents that fit perfectly.

So far i am very happy with the result lighting wise as well as the fans cooling the system down. My temp stays within 0,5 deg :)

One thing I have to do is apply white black out vinyl to the perspex to prevent the light from penetrating through the sides and the top of the hood. I personally like the light penetrating through the front of the hood.
I am also going to add some LEDS to the hood for moonlights :)

Yep - He had to order more perspex for this.
I am going to use velcro to attach it to the tank stand

Its a steel frame so magnets would work also - nice idea!
I was concerned initially regarding moisture build up in the hood and causing issues with the t5 connectors as I just have the standard ones - but so far so good :)
