Just a fun thread here guys, maybe it can be turned into a poll sometime! ?

What is your Holy Grail in this little hobby of ours, in terms of inmates you want to keep happy and healthy for an extended period of time??????

For me at this stage of my journey in the hobby it would be

a Clam ..... such a stunning creature and so demanding on water paramaters, if i can get a few of these to flourish in my system one day I am confident that other inmates, SPS etc would also thrive !

Be careful what you wish for. I battled years to get xenia to live in my tank, now the stuff grows like weeds. I would like to keep a yellow tang alive. Every tang I ever had died after a day or so. I'm too petrified to try clams. I've lost way to amny to even think of trying them again

My holy grail would be a large, very open structured mixed reef tank, lots of open space for fish and rock piles for mixed lps.

Clams and tangs are easy, I think it come down to where you buy them from, healthy tangs and clams will live forever if you buy them sick or not acclimatized they will die within a day or two.

I always thought a regal angle would be my ultimate fish to keep, however they are only for experts

The regal tang is fine in my tank. The one yellow tang I bought form Exotic was about 10cm and fat. The guy died after three days. Another one bought there yielded the same results. Maybe it's the fish at exotic

Oops. I guess I just learnt something. Trad, you shouldn't run around calling people "wallies" from the e mail notification. There are tons of things that you don't know and people don't call you stupid

Trad its angel;) yeah, my holy grail. hmmm. i think it would be that one special fish that is your favorite and you've had for years. I think that would be an angel or a tang like the achilles to me. Corals and clams etc are brilliant, but you cant compare it to moving fishies:)
