Is it normal for live rock to have a hole that keeps getting bigger.
I have noticed quite a few holes and they are getting bigger almost as if something is eating the live rock.
If anyone can shed some insight it would be much appreciated.

Usually either a crab (most likely) or an urchin.

Could also be a shrimp? Fill up the holes with a light layer of quick drying putty, light layer so that if it is a shrimp it has a chance to make its way out...

it can also be the natural biological processes in our tanks, we have both phosphates in the water and in rocks/substrates, as well as calcium and many others, these can all react with each other, not to mention the bacteria etc which live in and on the rocks, so you will naturally get a breakdown and the fact there is a hole makes it easier. some examples are, breakdown of rock due to bacterial activity: organisms consuming nutrients in the rock leading to small pieces breaking of. calcium and phosphates binding to make calcium phosphate, erosion.

like in nature these things can happen quicker or slower, a good example to see this clearer is look at threads where there is no substrate, bare-bottom, and notice how much "dust" they clean up etc.

    hope this helps

Read up on Xanthidae crabs. You will have to look for them a while after lights out.
