Hi guys hope you can help, I have a large Blue tang who is currently in hypo. I noticed a brown patch on one side and thought he had been hit so I moved him to a different tank only to notice more brown stuff growing on him? Do not know if you can see it well but there are a few white large spots on his belly (not ich) as well. So any one shed some light here and know how to treat it? I gave him a FW dip with methane blue a few hours ago. Had him a long time he's quite large and has been through hypo before with no problems. He's eating well shows no sign of any problems.

Could be the start of HLLE.

Check if you have any stray electricity running through your tank. What foods are you feeding? You may have a Vitim deficiency. Are you running carbon (GAC)

Hi Guys, thanks for your comments. Because of the hypo (1.08) its hard to get accurate readings with my kit. However I've been feeding them frozen brine shrimp with vitamins rolled up into nori sausage roll then sliced into eatable pieces. Seem like its healing. I had a chap comment that he had seen it before on a tang and it is an injury from fighting with another tang. Anyway its on the mend and that's the main thing.
