Hi. It all depends on what you like. Grain size and price. I personally use Red Sea fiji pink as i like the grain size and the price is very good. I pay R305 for a 10kg bag
Hi, welcome to masa!!!
Aragonite is good. Or if you want something cheaper you can buy ordinary playsand from Reggie's.
Tell us more about your system!
Yes playsand is a cheap option but all depend on the budget. I used playsand while i was still a student and that time my money went on booze and girls haha.... The benefit of araganite it helps a lot with a more stable pH levels but everything positive in the Marine hobby comes with a nice price tag.
Hi Thank you. My tank is 3mx1.2mx900high. I'm going to keep it very basic. Skimmer, Nitrate reductor and carbon and AntiPhos reactors. I would probably need about 100kg of substrate. Jason where do you purchase your Fiji pink substrate. Regards
