Hello there Tidy ... Heres a better idea why not setup a koi TANK ... then start to fill the pond with sea water and a monster solar powered geyser and volla.... a 28000 Ltre marine pond ... he he he and I'm sure you wont need to go to the coast to snorkel ... just jump in....

Welcome to masa tidy, that sounds like an awesome huge pond that you got going there, even though Koi are bathwater fish i think they are really kewl, Why not upload some pics so we can have a look:) are you thinking of going with a reef setup or fish-only?

Sounds good but i would reccomend maybe a 200L if possible with a sump, its what i started out with and i think its the best way to learn basics, less water volume, the harder it is to keep the system stable. Oh and most crabs are a bit evil and chow soft corals and small fish, i would reccomend some cleaner shrimps as they are cool and clean your fingernails for u
