cool to know, what size tank is it and what do you have in there, is it a running tank you will move or a dry tank ready to be set up?`

a couple of guys have moved running set ups and with some planning and care things can be moved and swapped over, but its definatley work planning and being prepared well in advance as things can go south fast when moving a tank. Shout if you need any help as there are some realy good memebers in cpt that I am sure would give you a hand if you need:) i would, but im not in cpt:whistling:

    Thanks:)
It was running but I decided to sell the fish and gave away the mushrooms. Didn't want them to stress and die. So starting up from scratch. The tank is around 370 litres, excluding sump. I want to get a new skimmer, was thinking reef octopus 160 xs, any ideas?

    Welcome!

Great skimmer can handle 900l so for that new tank will be perfect

thats a nice size tank and good move on starting from scratch, its far easier than stressing about LS with a tank move.

Thats a great upgrade in skimmer if you get the RO 160, will be great in that size tank.

what are your plans with the tank, a few fish and soft corals like you had or more of a mixed reef with a few sps and lps thrown in? whats the lighting like over the tank?

Yeah I think I will get that skimmer:)
To start I will have fish and soft corals, and later will add other corals when tank is more settled and I have upgraded lighting:). At the moment, just have T5's.
Also want to get a clam or 2, but will first need to do some research..

FF: T5s being inadequate is a misconception. With decent reflectors and decent globes, you will be able to keep pretty damn near anything, clams included.
Good choice on selling iff the stock, as a tank move can be a very stressful endeavour.
