Just was browsing the forums and figured I would stop in for a chat :1:

I have been keeping marine tanks for 5 years and maintained reefs as a profession for 3 of them. I am now a manufacturing engineer working with renewable energy. Reef tanks are my addiction :).

This was taken in December of 07

Here is the recent. My focus is to move to a sps/lps dominated reef.

Welcome, and good grief that is a nice transition from 2007, looks like a 3 meter tank at least?

Hi, and WELCOME to our forum - I'm sure that you will fit right in  :1:

So, renewable energy, you say... I have been mulling the idea of installing a few solar PV panels, just to ease the electricity bill - also have a solar hot-water system that I installed some years ago, and that's working real great.

Would love to tap into your expertise on the PV system at some time :whistling:

Oh, and GREAT looking tank you have there

Welcome to the forum, great looking tank.

I've just read through your thread on RC, love all the pics of the whole process. Can you tell me a bit more about bleaching your live rock? How much bleach do you add to the water and how long does the whole process take? Thanks.

I just walked trough the history of your tank and it ia absolutely amazing.
One thing that I am a bit conserned about and I belive I am not alone in this is that you used wood for the stand, looks like 2x4? why is that?

Don't underestimate the strength of wood ;) All of my current tanks are on wooden stands. Easier to add screws to hang things on. :p
