    Hi everyone!

I just got my tank today... Boyu TL550.

No idea where to start and what to do, but figuring that out is part of the fun.

I'm sure you will be hearing lots from me, as I'm new to the marine scene.

Hi freind and welcome,to start your tank of you first need to get aragonite from caribsea, some good live rock that has been cured like fijie, some reef advantage calcium, reef builder for kh,reef buffer, for ph,prime to reduce ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and stabality by seachem for excellent bacteria , and test kits for all the above as you need to test your water regular, first what you do is add your aragonite and live rock and salt mix switch your system on and not to forget a good salt mix and only use ro water to mix, not tap water pls,so let system run and add prime 3 caps every day for 1 week then add stabality 3 caps every day for 10 days after one week do a 25lt water change and at 2nd week do the same at 3rd week stop prime as ammonia ,nitrites and nitrates would off dropped down to 0,now buff water parameters as follows kh first you should buff to 10,ph to 8,2,8,4 and cal to 400 by the 4th week your water should stabalize by it self and pls leave your lights off for this period by the 6th week you should be good for 1 fish but then add stabality with every new stock as fish or corals but dose stabality for 3 days with corals or fish and pls ask if you not sure take it slow and you will have a excellent setup

Welcome johan - enjoy your stay here with us - excellent advice above - sounds alot but really is a nutshell of what you have to do - follow it and the you should be reaping the rewards in a few weeks time - remember patience is the name of the game in marines - as my friend says rush it and you WILL crash it!
