    Hi there

I am new to the marine setup. Being doing tropical for years. Wanted to say thanks for the site and all the helpful info, i have been using it for the last couple of months to help setup my tank.

My tank is now setup and all seems good, i currently have a 350 litre tank with 21 Kilo's live rock. 1 Clown fish, 2 tube worms and 2 hermit crabs. All has been running well for a while now. However i got a firecracker shrimp last week and he seemed to be fine for a day or 2 then got home and found the crab muching away at him. I checked the tanks ph, ammonia, nitrites etc and all seemed what it should be. I am sure he made the trip ok and i took a long time slowly acclimatizing him. Is there something i missed.

Well i am sure i will be doing lots of posting on the site, as there is just so much to learn and discover.

Are you sure it was the shrimp and not just his old exoskeleton.

A very WARM WELCOME to MASA HawkVR! I am extremely glad that you found us, and joined MASA!

Sounds like you are starting the RIGHT way! Can you please elaborate on what other hardware you have for your tank? ie. SKIMMER? Lighting? Internal water flow?
    Sump?

Can you also possibly post some pictures of your tank for us to ogle at?
Pics - this is the only way that we can really share your tank with you ;)

Welcome to MASA Hawkvr, hope you enjoy your stay with us. Please don't be shy to ask questions as we have a load of guys with lots of experience. There is only one rule on MASA, for each picture you post you will get a reply of some sort - no pics and we ignore you :whistling:
    Just kidding! ;)
On a serious note, tell us what equipment you have, how long the tank has been running, your water parameters and so forth, even better if you can post pics. What do you use for evapouration top ups?
Sorry for all the Q's... :p

How long has your sump been running like this, are you sure that wood can support it. Looks like it is bending.

Nice and neat. I like it. But like Shaun said, check out that wood under the sump. If it gets water on and starts to bend, your sump could crack.

It's a little difficult to see, could you explain how your plumbing is set up? Does the overflow go down to the sump on the right or to the skimmer on the left?
