I'm getting a 6 foot tank that is leeking from one of the bottom side seems. Getting it repaired by Trevor and he is modifiying my 3 foot tank to make a sump. at the moment I have a 4 foot planted tank but I'm getting board with it.(Selling it.)When I was 21 or so I had a 1m x 500mm x 500mm Marine tank, I swopped it for some scuba gear. (Now I miss it.) Tecnoligy has changed some what though; I had an undergravel filter and a canister. I'm told that is no longer used. Funds are a bit tight at the moment so I will do this properly and slowly.

    Quarintine tank

Do you need to cycle a quarintine tank? There will be no sand but there will be a canister filter.

I can't seem to start a new thread in the members set up, so I'll have to do it here; My tank arived it is 1.8m x 600 x 600. It has a skinny overflow about 1.2m long and the returns are also skinny in the 2 back corners. I'm not very impressed at the seal where the fittings are so I will have to get the builder back out. Skims 201 Skimmer sitting in a 900 x 350 x 350 sump. Once I have figured out how to get pics here I will.
