Try some boiled peas ... or better still brine shrimp or mysis - if not coming right let me know I can try to get him up to me - just lost mine due to putting him in my fish only 6 foot and my huge angel nailed him - by the way where's Westbrook? Oh where's my manners - Welcome to MASA

I'm far far away bud 400km's but always travelling up and down - holidaying very often at Salt Rock near the lifeguards clubhouse... check out my thread and another on moorish idols - firstly there's a problem with catching and releasing a fish once its been in a home aquarium.... Lets say for instance there's a "bug" in your tank and goes for a ride back to the ocean - you could look at wiping out an entire coastline of livestock - small possibility but very possible... I stand to correction but I think you can actually get fined if caught by the parks board doing this.... All the best with the idol....

Welcome, great that you ask questions and try to learn about the creatures.

Is all your stock locally caught? Including LR, Live sand etc?

If you have never added any fish from a friend or LFS that is not from SA, you should be ok releasing it, otherwise find an experienced reefer in Durban area (there are lots) that is willing to take it from you.

Welcome to MASA, glad you joined. Can you give us more detail on the tank, how long it's been running and filtration? Pics are even better :)
