I am new to posting but been browsing the forums for a while but thought it was time to say Hi........

    A brief Reefing history

Started with a 35l Nano, then a 1,2 m serious DIY with plastic Sump, then a 1.5 m and now finally the 1.8m reef tank which keeps me too busy

I still have more plans but that will come eventually

    Hey Crispin

You know how the bug bites

I originally went to the shop to buy clowns and an anenome and was stopped in my tracks when i was told I had to buy Live rock....what the hell is that! Then I had to wait 6 weeks before I could put anythign in the tank..........thought that was rubbish lol

Anyway after 5 years I have learnt a lot and yes many trials and failures, shock treatment and floods I finally have my ultimate Tank although I have plans to move it which will be a massive task!

My tank is 1800 X 800 X 600mm with a 1400 X 500 X 500mm sump and I am running a Seachem Aragonite DSB in the sump with crushed live rock and a Seachem Aragonite SSB in the main tank with approximately 50kg mixture of Kenya & Fiji live rock.

I also run a fuge which is run on a reverse ligh cycle and is gravity fed into the main tank.

I have an additional 2 tanks plumbed to the system which automatically do my water changes of around 200 litres. One last tank plumbed to the system holds a breeding pair of clowns.

    My Equipment includes

    ATI 6 X 80W Powermodule
Aquatronica Controller (Redox, Temp, Density, Water Leakage, Ethernet. Level Controller)
    Aquaclear running Phosphate and Purigen
    Boyu Waver
    Xwave Pump & Controller
    Tunze Return
    Bubblemaster 200
Tunze TS24 Kit with stream rocks
    Calcium Reactor
