    Hi Guys

I am a new member to site! Its a great forum and have learnt tons! The pics are absolutely amazing!

I am new to marining and have setup a 300l tank which has been running for 4 weeks. I have been doing water tests and its appears that the cycling is on top of its game.

However I do have a question:
I have a Azure Damsel and a Clown (which I put in on friday) and they are doing well. But my damsel is dominating the tank and the clown is hiding! Should i trade the damsel for another fish? I thought that they should be ok together.

Here a couple of pics of my setup:

Thanks a lot! This forum is fantasic!

    Peace out!

Hey dude very nice to meet you. Avtually that damsel is the least agressive of all damsels so I would give the clown a chance to get used to his new suroundings and become a bit more confident.

    Welcome to masa :)

As trev said, just give it some time. but if the problem persists, you can "sump" the damsel for a while to allow the clown to establish itself, and then reintroduce the damsel after a few days etc. Damsels are fairly agro, but so are the clowns (yours is stunning btw! get a second one!).

In a tank that big I shouldnt imagine those two having serious problems with each other!

    Hello and welcome.

How is your syphon break on your return line. Looks a bit deep for me.

Also the rock on the far right, is that live rock, or another "solid" rock? Looks like it should be in a Malawi tank. I could be wrong.

4 weeks is a bit too quick for fish. But only two should be "ok". do not add any more for at least another 2 weeks, then thereafter do not add more than 2 a week. biological filtration needs time to catch up with the amount of fish poo produced. And you that most likely will overfeed.

Enjoy this hobby, its the best there is.

    Hey man, thanks!
    Y
ea the rock was in to see if the clown would stop swimming near the surface! So yea its out!

The cyphoning is sorted cause when the return pump is switched off, the see through pipe rises to suck the air! However its not the prettiest! (The holes on the tand will drilled slightly too low, so its something I will consider on the next tank!)

    Thanks again
