I have seen my hermits sit under my sand anemone. Seemed like they were just taking shelter.

Elegance coral got eaten by hermit crab

    Hi guys !

I have a hermit crab the size of a golf ball wich I got from the ocean. Today I saw it on top of my ELegance coral and sadly it has destroyed half of it. Will the coral survive ? I already removed the hermit.

Could go either way. I would leave it as is and see what happens.

Most likely the hermit was after dead parts of the coral.

Post a picture of the hermit. Due to size mentioned it might be a baby Dardanus megistos.
