So due to a WS issue that I could not resolve I decided to use Herbtana.
I was advised to run my sump for 2 hours each day to do a bit of skimming.
What a surprise I was in for.
Herbtana turns your skimmer into a monster-it skims like it has never skimmed before - and this is even on the lowest setting.

So it seems that my WS issue has been eradicated for now and my nitrates are getting a bit high so Id like to get skimming again.
Does anybody out there have any advise on how to get the skimmer back to normal again?
Today was my last dose of Herbtana - I plan on doing a 20% waterchange tomorrow and then to turn the skimmer back on.

I don't want it going bonkers though - - any advise would really be appreciated

It takes a while, but the skimming will return to normal.

Mine removed about 20L through the skimmer before it returned to normal. I just put a small pipe in the skimmer's cup to drain the water as it filled.

EDIT: Dosed for a bit over a week, with no skimming at all.

    Makes sense -

Im on day 4 and no signs of WS - snails and nennie dont look happy though.
I want to stop using it now. As mentioned Im going to do a 20% water change tomorrow and think during this process I will use the skimmer to take out all of the Herbtana -

Does anybody see any issues with this?
    Should I complete the course?

I would turn on skimmer and do a 10% water change. Then a day or so later another 10%. Make 100% sure the ph and temp are the same else you will stress fish out

I caught the regal scratching again now- perhaps i should contine with the herbtana? Will do a water change tomorrow.regardless to get nitrates down. My inverts are all sitting on the glass at the water line and just below. Should i remove them?

Don't take them out, to many changes etc and we loose track of things. Start your skimmer and keep an eye out. Post a pic of the inverts

Don't worry about the snail. Scratching is a sign of flukes, rather stop herbtana, start skimmer and add boyds vitachem to the food
