So I want to share my new tank with you guys.

    Some info:

    Tank : 95x95x50 built in 10 mm glass with a 20mm base
    Sump : 75x45x30 (baffles in at 20cm)

Equipment I am going to use:

    Skimmer : Reef Octopus XS-160
    Return pump : 4500l/h
    Lighting : 18 x 3watt leds ( will be adding 18 more next year )
    Heating : jager 200watt and a natural 300watt
Filtration I am going to make use of an uplow algae scrubber ( saves space )
Flow: Hydor korlia flowpumps and controller

For substrate I am going to use 7kg of bemini pink and 6.8kg flamingo reef aragonite.

The stand has a mahogany wood finish and I am planning to add a brushed aluminium hood to the tank in January.

This is enough reading for now, here are some pics!

The tank ( has been cleaned since taking the pic )

Top up tank ( yes, it slides out underneath the tank :tt2: )

I did the plumbing last night, just a trail run to see whether every thing fits etc.

I am planning to get it wet during the course of next week:thumbup:

Any comments , suggestions are welcome

It is a one way valve, so if the power fails water cannot siphon back down my return line flooding the sump.

thanks Pierre, really keen to start this one up

I like things to get done as fast as possible.

I am going to finish the plumbing later this afternoon

Nice tank, but I hope you are never going to need to fish something out of your overflow - going to be difficult to access..

Nice Henkie. Like the top up idea. Question is will the weight of the water and top up tank not warp or collapse on the rail?

@Albert Terego I am getting acrylic teeth cut so that no fish can get in the overflow.
@Aquetas, I am fairly confident that the rail will be albe to handle the weight
