    Howsit guys, this may sound like a noob question!! But can this led light be used in my refugium??its does not state watts/kelvins:whistling:[​IMG]

    Unless someone can give us the watts and Kelvin it will be impossible too say, but I highly doubt it.

    From the pic I'd say its used to just light up a tank and I doubt it'll grow anything.

    That is more for show than anything else i know you get them in green,red and blue

    Just use an energy saver globe. 6400k-8000k .. DOnt need to be fancy with a refuge :)

    Heres what im trying to do- provide light for the cheetos in the back chamber.kind difficult to add any other light.[​IMG]

    one more thing who can tell me whats wrong with this coral??lossing tissue slowly but surely:(

    Parameters

    Salinty 1.026
    Temp 25 C
    PH 8.1
    NITRATES 10PPM
    ALKALINTY 7 DKH

    OPens up fully durind the day! But steadily loosing tissue.Also checked for worms or hitchhikers , noting at all.[​IMG]

    Dark Vader try to get your KH up to between 9 and 10 but anyway it looks like a hammer in the pic if so it will close up with lights off

    if you use that ligt you wasting your time & money. Use a 50w down light (bar light) rather your macro will grow leka & if it works on reverse cycle to the dt lights then it would also keep ph equal day or night.

    Thanx, and yes it opens up perfectly when lights are on. I am trying to get the kh higher,using kalk,drip method. Other waysyou know off besides limestone etc

    What lights do you have and what flow is the coral in? High or low?

    If it is hammer - then do you see brown slime coming from the "dieing" area? If so it's got bacterial infection, the scourge of Euphelia corals. Otherwise the pick is not clear enough to say.

    150 watt MH, the flow at the bottom is mid-to-low.....(thanks for your help)

    I do apologise for the really poor pic quality,will upload a better pic tonight. No brown slime at all.
