Help!

    bad day once again!

    my hammer coral died last night, within 24hrs!?
    my colt?kenyan tree is not looking good.
    my clams are looking better than ever.
    my brains are in good condition.
    pin cushion not looking its best.
    whats going on???

    my tank is around 600l, been running for nearly 6months or more.
    N02=0
    NO3=+-5
    phosphate=o
    ph=8.4
    ammonia=0
    temp=26.4
    salinity=1.025
    alk=2.8(milli equaivalents per liter)redsea test kit

    i have not dosed ioden(sp?) or srontium(sp?).

    the clams and brains and pin cushion have been in the tank for a long time. the hammer, colt and others were add yesterday.

    any one able to help me with wats going on... will upload pics of the coral to help.

    Hammers do not transport well, strange it took 24h to die though.

    shit first off do a large water change.could there have been any chemicals that got into the water?any doom etc..?

    mek no chemicals that i could think off, the hammer was huge in the shop! really think off leaving the hobby or just keeping clams. my dad and i have lost nearly 5k worht of stuff now

    Did you acclimate the hammers etc before putting them into your tank?

    Did the hammer have any brown jelly on it? Another thing when you removed it did it not slough any slime into the water column?

    the hammer did have a little bit of "brown jelly" not alot. it did not release and slime once i removed it. my sisters royal coral also released a bit of that brown jelly stuff when her tank was not 100s.

    oh the hammer only had that jelly about 4hrs once in the tank, zero polyp extension.

    How long did you acclimate the corals, and exactly how did you do it?

    float the bag for half an hour, add a little bit of water every 5min till the bag is complety filled with the tank water. total time spent, about 1hr 20min.
