Hey and welcome to MASA! Why don't you start a beginners thread and tel us more about your system and where we can give you a warm MASA "hello"!

Was there any stress related issues in the tank? The reason asking is I know from experience that my clown once got pop eye because of a tank transfer. Because of the stress they damage their eye on rocks and glass. I leaved myne alone and fed more meaty food for him and in a week it was all good.Just make sure your water parametres are in check and if there is a something causing the stress that it should be taken care of.

It could help if you post a pic.

hi melissa, welcome to masa :)
fish can get pop eye for a number of reasons, often its from hitting into some rock, or stress related. Normally if the watre quality is good and its an established tank the fish rights itself without too much difficulty, but why not give us a little history into your tank and perhaps we can give more definative advice :)

Hi & welcome Melissa, see you got some advice already.

Ditto on what the huys said , popeye is not a disease in itself but rather a symptom related to an underlying cause. In my experience it has always been stress related ie from sudden changes in water paramaters , bad water quality , moving fish etc.

Good feeding , increased water quality and lower light levels (reduces stress) seems to do the tric everytime

    Good luck !

Next time you buy a fish look for the best. It should be colourful, breathing normal, no spots on the fish, and ask if they can feed it in front of you.
