Help needed!!

    Hi guys
    I just came home to find some crab in my tank that I have never seen before which must have been in some live rock of mine. But wait there is more, it was eating one of my goldies Holy shit, problem is as soon as I try catch this thing it goes under a rock. How do I catch this thing? its on the sand under a rock, please help me so I can catch this bastard and flush it where it belongs.

    Hi Brad - the best way is to catch the crab using a smooth-walled see-through glass... Put the glass at an angle against the rock where you know the crab would be hiding out. Then place some meaty food into the glass..... you might have to remove the left-over "bait" every day, if you have not caught the crab the 1st night. Leave the glass in there over-night. Repeat this process every evening, until you have caught the crab.

    And sorry to hear of the goldie.

    Don't flush it, rather sump it, someone will surely take it off your hands for a species only tank or something like that. Or for food for their mantis shrimp :)

    Are you sure that the goldie didnt die and the crab was just an opportunist happy to find some nice morsel to eat?

    No because the goldie was there this morning even eating, Everytime a fish swims past that hole now it tries to grab it. Tobes im only giving this crab to someone who is going to feed it to something im so pissed off lol
