This coral is for those who are ready to graduate from soft corals. It is a great beginner of the LPS family. My only complications when I got it was air bubbles trapped in the tissues. I think it was getting to much light, and couldn't release the oxygen produced fast enough. This coral sucks up calcium like no tomorrow, and can really pack it away when it comes to feeding. If I did not regulate how much they eat, I'm sure they would ask for 5ths. Also it is very resilient. It can withstand a range of conditions.

Sounds like it, I would be inclined to pop it with a sharp needle, although that is probably not the best idea.

I've never seen this before, so no idea, but if the cause is too much light then try and move the coral lower down in the tank or to the side of the tank so that it receives less light, see if the bubbles stop.

Perhaps start another thread in the Coral Care forum with the same pics, perhaps Sihaya will have an idea on what has caused this, if not she can also ask the crew at WWM for help.

Do you have a lot of micro bubbles in the tank?
Perhaps they are accumulating in the polyps?
