Just make sure the coperband continues to eat. Feed its favourite food. Perhaps add a few rocks with aptaiser on to keep its mind off the egg removal.

Let us know breakfast turns out. Don't let the coperband see you cooking the egg as it might upset the her and she will not produce any more.

:lol:WoW @Paul B , that copperband has definately lost some weight. Must have been an extremely difficult delivery, but am sure with all your knowledge and expertise and being a first time marine parent you would have made the process smooth:tt2: . So congrats on your new addition
But otherwise yeah i reckon looking at the pic you would make an awesome easter bunny, because the kids aint going to find easter eggs in your tank, so you could always do that if Aquaculture becomes too boring for you

On a serious note, why do you have an egg in your tank?

Seriously I Think @Paul B is onto something but might not know it yet.
Firstly lets start with the Standard Birds Egg. He could be looking for cheap Ca. The egg shell is made of calcite, a crystalline form of calcium carbonate.
How do i know this you may say. WIKI - "Bird eggshells contain calcium carbonate and dissolve in various acids, including the vinegar used in cooking. While dissolving, the calcium carbonate in an egg shell reacts with the acid to form carbon dioxide"

Thats a very interseting way of adding calcium and after all that has gone you get. Vitamin B, A, D
Icould see the beniffits with B12 and the omega 3 fatty acids,
But i am how ever concerd with the protien content as even the USDA categorizes them as meat on the food guide pyrimad.
Like putting a steak in your tank once the shell in pentrated.

All in all congrat's should make for an interesting fish. Talk about a water birth lol should be interesting:p
