HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!elegance coral came loose from its shell

    my elegance coral is comming loose from its shel what ca i do

    sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that coral doesnt look good
    what changed in your system?

    by the looks of the skeleton there seems to be green algae growth on it, what are your params?

    do have a problem with hair algea, busy cheking params now , nothing changed,

    can it be saved, wil it re attatch or should i stick it back on like i wil with frags

    i am not sure, bet way is to place it back together and cover it with a netting to see if it re-attaches

    That coral looks to far gone in my opinion.

    param ph= 8, kh= 5, nh4= 0, no2= 0,5, no3= 50, po4= 4(bad news), cu= 0, ca= 700, tank temp is 30

    dont have a chiller , i battle to get temp down, got my fan blowing on my sump

    but 50 of no3 is not too high for corals?
    and as you say the temperature is too high

    Dude, dump that coral,its a goner, its gna spike ur tank ....wen it detaches it is damaged, those types of corals,when damaged ,dies off slowly...safer to just chuck it nw than to let it polute ur tank with its slow 'toxin releasing' death

    thats risky i tried to save mine that looked like that they just took out my other corals with them maybe u should put it in a seperate tank?

    KH on the low side, NO3 way to high! PO4 also high.
    CA at 700 is very high!

    If any LPS detaches from its housing, its a goner ...I'm not gna advise u wrongly or raise ur hopes ... Its up to you to try and save it, but you will risk toxifying ur other inhabitants if it does die
