Can't really understand your post but I think it sounds like the anemone has just deflated itself. They do that quite often, they shrink completely then open up again, quite normal for them.

Keep an eye on it, it should open up again, if not then there is a problem.

However, I'm curious about the tuna you fed it, where did you get the tuna from, is it from a tin?

JA like viper said if he stays like that there is big problems, how big is the nemi?
Is the nemi's mouth bulping out, and slime strings comeing out?

O.k then he should be fine, nemi's deflate by getting rid of the water inside of him,and inflate with fresh new water.

I don't recommend feeding tuna. Do you have silversides, lance fish, or krill available? How big of portions were you feeding?

Hi Angelboy. OK - a few things about nemmies:
- they require a LOT of light - many T5's or metal halides
- they require reasonably strong and turbulent water flow
- they must be fed

My comments:
I feed my nemmie's raw pink shrimp and sometimes mussel - as per Pick-n-Pay's seafood mix. They love it. I feed once a week.

The signs of an unhappy / sick nemmie, are:
- deflating often and staying deflated for long periods
- not attaching and tumbling around in the tank
- being "bleached" - not so bad but must be fed often small amounts until zooxanthellae is back
- inside-out mouth

Nemmies sometimes deflate to get rid if toxins or to digest food eaten. They could also shrink temporarily if they got a fright. They also shrink sometimes if there's not enough light.

So - I would like to suggest to wait a few days to watch the nemmie's behaviour.

BTW, at which LFS did you get the nemmie?

Good luck with your nemmie.

I am not too sure whether raw squid/calamari would work. Might be too "tough" for the anemone to digest....... Perhaps if the pieces were really small enough - ie. smaller than 1cm pieces....

Why I ask, this is what they were feeding in Amsterdam, but it was small pieces
