Hey! How are you guys! I'm not really a new member but set up an account in 2011:) then converted to fresh water and an now back on the saltwater train:)

I have a 68 gallon tank, been set up for 2 months now. I am slowly stocking the tank bit by bit, reading and seeing what works. Like bicolour blenny and salarias goby don't work:)

Sorry about the iPhone pic but thats the start of my tank:)

Hi and welcome back to MASA. Tank is looking good!!! Give us some specs on your system.
Thanks man! Tank is a standard 4ft, with a 60liter sump, running a aqua medic blue 500 skimmer. Lights 1 dual odyssea and one quad, both running 1000k and 650k T5s. (Not actually sure what the best lights are) are there any threads about T5 lights?

Livestock - banana wrasse, bicolour blenny, 2 firefish, six line wrasse, 2 clown fish and a jaw fish. With a diamond wrasse in a quarantine tank. CUC - 2 target snails, a cleaner shrimp, a few hermit craps, a very shy fire shrimp. Plus a number of common shrimp.

Corals, not really sure of everything, but a boring clam, some zoas, xenia, kenya tree, ears, clove polyps, torch, and some star polyps.

Slowly coming along!

Looks like a crocea ;)
You also put it in the right place. Just monitor your calcium levels with it in, clams suck it up very quickly!

Yes there is a couple of threads regarding T5 lighting. I would suggest 10000k being the minimum white light for T5. You get a wide variety of T5 spectrum lighting from whites to acintics (which really let your coral colours pop). Check the sponsors sights what they are selling this can give you a good indication of what is available. Also look at some of the guys systems and maybe enquire by them what colour selection they are using.

Very nice start to your tank, looking good. :)

I would change those for 10k or Actinic tubes, I used 6500k T5's and boy did the algae flourish, lol.

Awesome, thanks for the advice! I'll look into that what brand do you recommend or are they all much of a muchness?

Not sure what brands are still available as I haven't bought T5's for a couple of years, good brands that I've used are KZ, ATI and Aquamedic. I can't even remember what brands are out there, lol. Reeftek are also available but I've never used those.
