    Hi!

Current 120L planted freshwater owner seriously considering a switch to marine.

After experimenting I decided that the cost and time investment in doing plants right can't be much worse than keeping a small fish-only marine setup.

My end goal (once I settle somewhere for a while) will be a 600L tank with Lion fish.

    Great hobby with great people!

    Welcome
I love lion fish too but just remember that they grow quickly and they swallow smaller fish whole so as they grow it gets harder to keep safely with other fish, so you will be limited to what you can keep

    Hello and welcome jsx

With Lionfish only system, you need to check out your filtration system is top notch. They are messy feeders and waste a lot. Oversize skimmer is a must.
