    Any suggestions

Well i am pretty new to this hobby, i have had my tank going for about 3 months now. My interest started when i was watching discovery and saw a clip on mantis shrimp since then i have been on a mission to get one i have started off small but i intend to go bigger soon!! The problem is getting a mantis i have ordered 1 x from a pet store in town they place an order but nothing comes.( FRUSTRATIONS!!!!) Does anyone know of a reliable supplier of mantis shrimp in SA?

    As in Peacock mantis shrimp?

First. You need a small tank with thick glass. At least 10mm.

    I changed my mind

If you get a tank with thick glass & want the mantis shrimp go ahead.
It will be interesting to see the delopment much like a predator tank but on a smaller scale.

hey dude.. can you post a pic of the tank? is it soley for mantis? i saw an awsome mantis display in @ iceans,, very simple yet extreemly effective.. the bigger they get the more destructive they will become in a confined space..

what have you looked at for filtraton?

Hi Leslie here are a couple pics of my new tank, as you will see in the pic there is an internal canister filter and a aqua clear.
