    Hi all

I am a newbie to be. Going to be starting my marine tank in a Jebo R338 during August.

There is so much info on marine aquariums so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Like, do I need a sump for a tank of this size? What type of vibration pump should I use? Recommended type & amount of substrate? What type of corals are recommended for beginners?

From what I have seen on the forum, the lighting may need to be modded to add an extra blue light. I would like to keep some clowns.

    Looking forward the adventure ahead!

Welcome! Please read the beginner threads as well as the threads in @Tobes signature :).. Yes I would strongly advise getting a sump as it houses all your equipment. YOu can get sun sun flow pumps. THey are cheap and do the job.. With substrate it depends on how much you want to spend. YOu can get play sand if you are on a budget, crushed coral(fine) on a better budget or aragonite which looks best.. There are many easy corals you can get such as mushrooms and zoas. Even some LPS corals such as hammers are pretty easy

Welcome to MASA, hope you enjoy it here. The link Tremayn is refering to is below - starting a marine tank - awesome info for beginners ;)
And remember, clowns don't need an anemone to survive, so don't add one until your tank is matured for at least 9 months with stable water parameters. Also do your homework on anemones regarding what light is needed for what species and feeding, etc.
