    hello edmond, welcome to masa:)

great to hear that you are aiming at starting out in marines, its a fantastic hoby and great fun, but it takes a lot of research and patients. Get those two things right and we will do all we can to help you and your tank along :)

do you have any idea on what sort tank you would like to keep as this will make a big difference on the equipment that you need. Also do you ahve a space in the house that you want to full with a marine tank? if so measure it up and give us the dimensions so we can help you with the tank build :)

    welcome and happy postings:)

A VERY WARM WELCOME to MASA, Edmond! Great to have you on-board!

Please take note of the URL link in my signature: mentioning: "Starting Marine Aquariums".

Two suggestions that I can give you:
    1) Please take note that a HUGE amount of PATIENCE is required with keeping marines - only BAD things happen FAST in starting/keeping a marine aquarium
    2) knowledge is POWER! So - please read as much as you can about keeping marines, and also - please ask as many questions as you can, to ensure that you can become the absolute BEST reefkeeper that YOU can be!

Enjoy the journey into marines, mate! It is an addiction that really gives you a very steep learning curve!

Enjoy - and remember - whatever you ask - all of us here have made the mistakes. So - there are no such thing as a "stupid question"!

    Enjoy!

    Welcome Edmond

Read, read, read, and read some more, and when you finished reading, start asking the questions.

Having done all that, start your tank - trust me, do it this way and you will be wiser and richer.

Welcome to MASA Edmond, glad you joined. You can read the link in my signature for great info - there you'll also pick up what you need. Most important is you need to read a bit and decide what you want to keep in the tank.
Feel free to ask for advice and be careful of some petshops, they might sell you the wrong stuff as you are still new to the hobby.
Go to our sponsors forums and check out the shops there - great guys that'll help you chop chop ;)
