Hi Iced! A VERY WARM WELCOME to MASA Man! Awesome that you have found MASA and joined us! Great to have you on-board!

Please take the following advice:
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN KEEPING MARINES/REEFS, is PATIENCE! PATIENCE! PATIENCE!

The 2nd most important thing, is: READ, READ, READ....

Please be extremely patient with your startup - take time to let the tank "cycle"....
Take the time to read and LEARN. Take the time to ask as many questions as possible to make you the BEST reefkeeper you can be!

Now - please let us know WHAT you have already. And also - PLEASE come and ask here at MASA, BEFORE you spend ONE more CENT at a local fish store (LFS)....

You will be surprised at what decent advice you will get. Remeber - we have NO monetary gain in giving you ANY advice - we are here to ensure that you can keep a sustainable marine tank. We cannot allow ANYONE to keep on letting their life stock die...

We are extreme nature conservationists at heart - and we want EVERYONE who join us to become part of our conservationist family!

Good luck with your journey into MARINES!

Get the Eheim, one of the best around.

hey iced:) welcome to masa:) always nice to hear you are building up a tank. I have the eiheim return, its a great pump, and really sillent, so would get my vote:)

i see you are also looking for lights, have you thought of reefinmates? they have some great units and may make something to order, have a look in the sponsors section.

Hi Iced - I am not 100% sure, but I think that AQuality keeps this - you can PM him, or start a "Wanted" thread on his sponsor forum.

Secondly - also not 100% BUT, last I heard, it was going for around R60 per kg.... I could be incorrect though!
