    Hi there,

I've been keeping my eye out for the right starter nano marine tank... and have seen this offer on gumtree...

It's for a Powerlab Marine tank 600x600x400 (10mm glass, black silicone) with stand and cuboard. The tank and sump take about 170 L and it includes a sump, powerlab protein skimmer, phosphate remover, carbon, uplift pump and a 3x10 000 kelvin florescent fitting all for R2.5k ...

Does this seem like a reasonable deal???

Really pleased to have found this forum for advice!

    Thanks!
    Christy.

    Welcome to MASA Christy!

I think that is a good deal considering it's a almost complete setup and powerlab builds really good quality tanks. Maybe in the future you can get a nice light pendant to hang over it.

id def go for it, youd save abit of cash which would go well towards a light pendant or decent lr, but in all that sounds like a nice set up to start with. Just view the tank first and check that there arent any scratches or surprises later on :)

    welcome by the way :)

If I had the space I would buy that in a second! you'll have to buy very little to get up and running from that point!

    :) ... Well I'm definitely feeling like a beginner!!!

... Right... some assembly time spent, and the beginnings of intimidation set in!!... No worries, I've had a good go and have pulled some pictures together to explain what I'm understanding (or not understanding) ... and to ask some questions!!

    You’re all going to think I’m a complete idiot!! … :)
