Hello.

My name is Craig, I'm a mod on a UK based forum

I currently run a 7.5ft Ref Tank, with 2 many fish and an ever increasing number of both SPS and LPS.

My LPS is my pation at the moment, Trachy's and Acans being the number one current obsession.

Any way here is some pics of my tank, I will also start tank thread. (tried posting pics but not allowed yet)

Please also check out my web site for hundreds and hundreds of pics etc.

hhmmmm right of the top of my head:-

Tank = 7.5ft x 3ft wide x 2.5ft high

Sump 6ft x 2ft

Total UK gallons = 400 gallons

Lighting = 4 * 400 watt Halides using Marine lux lamps , luminarcs III's and Coralview Electronic Ballasts + 4 39 watt t5 tubes for Actinic

Flow from 8 times 6100 Tunze Steams all hidden in weirs

Return pump from Sump = Aquamedic 3500 pump via Aquamedic Titan 2000 chiller and another Aquamedic 3500 feeding a Aquamedic 5000 Twn Skimmer (outlets into tank)

2 * 150 gallon water change VATS

Full Aquatronica Computer System (Control Unit, 5 plug Bars, 2 Dosing units for Balling and ULNS when I can be bothered), Redox probe, PH probe * 2, Temp sensor, 3 Level switches for Sump and top up tanks etc.

Must have 300 KG+ of live rock.

And as stated way way way to many fish. Many you would not associate as being in a REEF TANK.

I have been checking out your site, and you have put some serious thought and planning in making this Beaut.

I noticed you also have top notch equipment. What sort of weekly maintenance does a tank of this size entail ?

Not a huge amount of maintenance, with a tank thi size there is an argument to say you can be complacent.

Mind to counter that, due to high Nitrates and Phosphates I have just changed around 600 gallons in 5-6 weeks. (hellish expensive) but the corals are now growing at a crazy rate.

Other than that I just buy extra stock (as I have today 2 new stunning LPS items) or sit back and watch the tank all evening long.
