SSOOOooooo - first off - apologies to everyone who know me/knew me....

I went through a very bad spot in my life - I lost my whole aquarium setup - blew all my pumps/skimmer pumps - and lost ALL my fish.

I lost all heart to go on with keeping marines - and sold nearly everything. I kept my "live rock" - which is now COMPLETELY dead rock, one light unit and a pump or two.

That said - I got a new (tiny) setup going. 250 litres.

But - this is now still in cycling/starting stages.

So - I will post pics in good time. I will be slightly more active going forward :)

Cheers! :yeahdude: :yeahdude: :yeahdude:

LOL Les! I got my life sorted. Now - that I am at a good place in life again - the saltwater in my blood is starting to take over again! Every time I went into a LFS here in Cape Town, where they have/had a marine tank, I started to itch all over again.

But - thanks to my wonderful wife who supports me - I have been able to "scratch" the itch! ;)

Welcome back Jacques. Great to hear you getting sorted. The hobby has moved on quite a lot whilst you had your hibernation. I am sure you will read up on new techniques. I did notice you online and browsing.

The LR that is dry is probably a good thing as it has killed you aiptaser issue. LOL. There is a way of rejuvenating it. When you get round to it just shout and we will go through the process with you.

Awesome! Many thanks Keith! Jip. I will have to have a deep long look at how I am to do things now ;)

But - I am starting very small. So - I would be forced to take things slow. That said - small is also "nice". As I do not need such huge power heads in my tank to get a decent water turn-over rate, and neither do I need such monster lighting either.

W.r.t the aptaisia. You are 100% correct!

And may it be that I NEVER EVER again get them!

LOL Yeah. I think that I was the "aptaisia king" for a while! Perhaps the total tank crash was a "blessing in disguise". No more aptaisia!

That's ONE way of getting rid of Aptaisia! LOL...
