I just found out the heaters I got with the tank don't work, I will only be able to get new ones end of December (spent far too much on the tank already). Will a normal geyser element work in the mean time just to get water in the tank and start the cycle. I can then change to proper heaters when I have more money available. I will use the element designed for corrosive water conditions. Any help would be appreciated.

Two 300 watt heaters will do the trick. Your tank is a 1.5m and that' what I'm running on mine with temperature sitting on +- 27 all the time :).
