I brought this wrasse a while back from Dory pets. i knew i was takinga chance with him as it hadnt settled in, but when i was there the poor fella was really trying to bury himself in substrate (in a bare bottom tank!)

so i took him and very slowly acclimatised him. he was out for two days and then gone. I assumed to the substrate, but wasnt sure. then i had a power outage and lost quite a few fish, and I counted him as one of the lost list.

this morning he greeted me ontop of the reef chatting to my sailfin as if it was coffee time! :) so brilliant to see.

not out the woods as he didnt take any frozen food this morn and its a good two weeks since he ate that i know of.

but it was such a wonderful surprise to see "phonix" :)

Nice Leopard Wrasse AKA Guinea Fowl Wrasse (Macropharyngodon meleagris)

PS: It is a male ;)

It's primary food source is pods, so make sure your rock is cooking.
