I have a hawk fish in my tank and would like to add a cleaner shrimp, will the hawk fish be a problem for the shrimp?

as soon as the hawkfish gets hungry the shrimp will become a meal.

why because it might (50/50) chance eat a shrimp that you dont actually have? that seems a little rough on the fish doesnt it?

do you have a pic of a spotted hawk fish i dont recall it.

long nosed hawks can eat shrimp that are alot smaller than the fish, but even then its not a certainty.

The cyano blends in with the fish .... Awesome character this guy has .... BUT .... go through my old thread ... I once introduced a R250 Dancing shrimp that never even reached the floor of my tank ..... My fish like this was banished to my predator tank for eating the shrimp!

My wife nicknamed him "ëyes" because of his very curious nature and always on the lookout for something interesting .... Also be on the lookout for wrasses .... their natural food are shrimps so beware .....
