Have you tried UV in your system?

Dallas the point I am getting at is. Is the globe made out to quarts crystal. No matter how Good the quarts sleeve is or design of the flow through the sterilizer, the quality of the globe is the key.

Is the Philips globe made from a Quartz envelope?

They have their own design, they arent deltec but philips know lamps
 
Dallas check out the specs of the Philips, Salvna ,osram globes. You will find that the envelope selves are not Quartz.

This thread is getting confusing.
Keith, please gather your thoughts and post them concisely tomorrow, i'm not sure what information to are attempting to share. Are you trying to give advice or simply arguing with Dallas? Or do you have inside info on UV globes?
 
David and Dallas, the Philips, osram, slavenia globes are not efficient. They use a " envelope" made from a much less efficient glass compound. Not Quarts.The amount of UV emitted through the envelope is far lower than through a bulb that is manufactured out of quarts.

I am just inquiring as to the the difference in the globe type.

Philips gaurantee that radiation output wont degrade over the life of the lamp. They give the rating on the spec sheet
 
Sorry if I'm derailing the thread but do Phillips manufacture a replacement uv bulb that will work on those small aquamedic uv units?

David , why is it that every time I bring a concept or known fact to the fore that I get slapped with a " insinuation" ?

You guys need to chill, listen to what is being put forward and stop the crap like you posted.

I am very concise with my posts, not argumentative and simply asking questions to Dallas if he is aware of the different globes. I am sure you, Dallas and many members will now do some research into the different globe types.
